"This was one classy and professional performance by musicians of top caliber..."

Kevin Jones, Hyatt O'Hare

When Michel Domingue sings, you might at first think Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett had just joined you for dinner. But Michel has a style all his own — a style born of blended cultures, from the Lone Star State of Texas where Michel André was raised by his French mother and actor father, to Montreal where he studied music. It should come as no surprise that Michel is a natural performer, and when it comes to singing classic French cabaret songs... well, you can almost picture yourself on the streets of  Paris. When he sings bossa nova, you'll all but feel the sand on a sun-kissed Brazilian beach. In the fall of 2001 Michel formed IVORY SONG with his pianist-arranger-composer and friend, José Peñera. Jose's arrangements are unique, and his intricate playing seems effortless. Together they showcase not only the elegant style of Michel's voice and virtuosity of Jose's playing, but they display a versatility that seamlessly moves from ballad to bossa nova to smooth jazz. IVORY SONG's repertoire includes Jobim classics, like "Girl From Ipanema," Sinatra's "What Kind of Fool Am I?" and plenty of Cole Porter. Their stunning rainbow medley, (Rainbow Connection, Over the Rainbow & I'm Always Chasing Rainbows) will bring tears to your eyes, and their jazzy version of Chim-Chim-Cheree will make you smile.

From bistros & nightclubs to weddings and other elegant affairs, this pair of consummate professionals is the perfect choice. They'll make you sway, make you move, make you want to fall in love all over again. Share an evening filled with Ivory Song.
