Guitarra Azul is an exciting blend of Rumba, Flamenco, Latin Jazz, and World Sounds, with intoxicating Latin percussion & fiery Spanish guitars. Featuring their own original compositions as well as the familiar music of world artists The Gypsy Kings, Ottmar Liebert, Santana and other pop groups, Guitarra Azul performs as either a 4- or 6-piece ensemble, and can also add the sensual passion only authentic flamenco dancers can bring for a full, stunning evening of entertainment.
The musicians of Guitarra Azul are some of the best around. At its core, guitarist-composer Stefano is known for his dynamic stage presence and brilliant technique. He has appeared across the US and Europe as a solo recitalist, concerto soloist, and chamber musician. Stefano has been featured in performances with many notable artists, including flamenco guitar master Carlos Montoya, violin virtuoso Gidon Kremer, and legendary jazz pianist George Shearing. He is a prolific composer for both film and live theatre, and has written beautiful compositions for Guitarra Azul's two CDs "Mariposa" and "Oasis."
David is a classically trained guitarist known for his beautiful tone and fiery rhythms. He has studied with classical and flamenco guitar masters in Granada, Madrid and Seville in Spain.
