Billy Croft & The 5-Alarm is a red hot smokin' country rock band. This group's performance will make you want to jump on out of your seat and holler at the moon! Born and raised in Illinois' Fox River Valley, Billy Croft had a boot planted firmly in Nashville for many years. He performed with the legendary Kenny Rogers at his annual Christmas concerts and he developed close ties to elite performers, songsmiths and producers in the Nashville music lexicon. Following a number of years battling personal demons, Billy returned to the Chicagoland area, born again and committed to serving the greater good. A 1998 mission to Honduras, to work on a project rebuilding a church destroyed by Hurricane Mitch, brought Billy's personal life mission further into focus.  Playing guitar and singing Christian tunesto Honduran children in 110 degree heat convinced Billy, not only of the power of a Christian message, but of music's power to heal, inspire and uplift.

Upon returning to Chicago, he not only formed a popular Christian rock band, "Unified", with which he recorded 2 popular CDs, he also met some of his current fellow band members. Unified's song "It Started with a Child" is still in rotation on Christian radio during the Christmas season. All these experiences further solidifed Billy's commitment to service & making music. He became a fireman in Naperville and now has formed Billy Croft & The 5-Alarm, with which he hopes to bring rockin' good fun to the Chicago area and other pastures, but more than that, he hopes to use his God-given talents to benefit special causes, especially those near and dear to firemen and other public service providers.

Billy and his band are working on a new CD that will reflect the values and bonds of the brotherhood of firefighters everywhere.  He has enlisted Grammy award winner Alan Schulman to produce. Alan has worked with a "who's who" of hit artists, including Jimmy Buffet, Little Feat, Chris LeDoux and Toby Keith to name just a few, and has over 50 million in album sales to his credit. Billy is pledging a significant percent of all sales from every CD sold as a charitable donation to the causes firemen cherish most, such as The 100 Club, Burn Camp and the MDA Telethon.

The outstanding musicians of The 5-Alarm — Mike Gerbitz (drums), Lucy Dunn (vocals), Dave Eno (guitar & vocals), and Chris Plasch (bass & vocals)— are as talented and committed as Billy is himself.
